AMPL: smart and comfortable backpack for geeks
On Geektimes recently developed a discussion about what should be a backpack for IT. It is clear that the backpack should be comfortable and practical, in addition, the backpack for a geek should be geek. At CES 2015 was presented just such, geek, backpack, which is able to monitor the state of charge gadgets, informing the owner about the progress of replenishment of batteries devices.
Called such a backpack AMPL, it protects the device from impacts and damage, for which the developers provided for the presence of special pocket cases of different formats. The material is waterproof, so that no rain or snowfall can threaten the performance of the devices.

The main features of the backpack
AMPL can be called a smart backpack, because, in addition to charging gadgets, it also transmits data on the state of the battery level of each of the devices stored inside. Data is transmitted wirelessly Bluetooth LE 4.0 to a smartphone or tablet. If the smartphone itself is discharged, then the battery level can be viewed on a special LED display.
As soon as the device is placed inside the backpack, in the compartment of its format, the recharge of the battery immediately begins. In addition, the devices can be connected directly to the AMPL smart battery. In total, connection is available for 6 different devices.
The developers have provided the possibility of placing several smart batteries, while the capacity of each (5000mAh) is enough to replenish the battery of the smartphone 2-3 times (only one smart battery is supplied in the kit, the rest need to be purchased). If necessary, you can purchase a capacious battery (15000mAh) from the developers to recharge the laptop (for a laptop - its own compartment).
As for the batteries themselves, they can be charged from any outlet, while only one power cord needs to be connected, which distributes energy to all batteries.
This is a familiar situation for many, isn't it?
Notices for the Forgetful
The application for AMPL shows not only the level of charge placed inside the backpack gadgets, but also warns the owner if the backpack is forgotten somewhere (in a cafe, car, on a bench in the park, etc.). If a person has moved away from the backpack for a certain time, a notification arrives on the smartphone.
ergonomics
The authors of the project have long worked on the design of the backpack, trying to create an optimal structure, ideal for wearing gadgets inside.
After all, a backpack for a geek should not only protect gadgets, devices should be easily placed inside, and get. Laptop, smartphone, tablet – all this easily fits in a backpack, and without problems gets if necessary.
Price and order
Now the developers are still raising funds to launch the backpack into production. The fundraising is underway on Indiegogo, with the campaign already fully funded, despite 23 days to go.
