Sales of electric Tesla in Michigan still banned

A few days ago on Geektimes publish news that in Michigan may prohibit direct sales of electric Tesla. And since the company does not use the dealer network, then we are talking about a total ban on sales of electric vehicles.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder signed the bill, which has now become law. We are talking about the law of 5606, which actually had to limit the profits of dealers (percentage of sales), but after adding a couple of paragraphs this bill became a threat to Tesla in Michigan.

The governor gave a speech in which he said that he urged politicians to revise the legislation related to car sales. Despite the verbiage and eloquence of the governor, the fact remains - Tesla sales in Michigan will now be stopped.

As mentioned earlier, now have such laws are developed and other states, including Texas, Arizona and Virginia. In addition, even before Tesla had to sign a contract with car dealers from Ohio, the essence of which - the manufacturer of electric obligation not to open additional showrooms to sell its cars. So Elon Musk will have a lot of work to do before all these problems can be solved.
