The lake is famous for its good fishing, as its name says. This is the only lake in the region, where there are ides, reaching 3 kg. It offers a magnificent view on Belukha, which on a clear day is reflected in the lake. Located at an altitude of 1685 meters above sea level, in the crease, which was on one of the branches of Katun glacier, it is located on the main road to Belukha and the headwaters of the Katun River, waterfall and Kokkolskomu mine Kokkol.
The lake is 3 km long and 800 m in depth Yazevoe reaches 10 m. Into the lake two small unnamed tributary and multiple keys, it originates Yazevoe river.
