Walk through the blue city
Walk through the blue city - Chefchaouen, which is located in northern Morocco.
It boasts a rich history, beautiful landscapes and wonderful examples of architecture.
But worldwide fame thanks to the place is saturated with heavenly flowers, which painted most of the buildings of the old part of the city. The city acquired this kind thanks to Jewish refugees who were in the 1930s, a host of here. They were the first to paint their homes in blue - the color symbolizing heaven and paradise. Local people liked the idea by the fact that this color, as many believe, repels mosquitoes (who are trying to stay away from pure and flowing water).
But today, the original cause is not so important - now a unique blue city attracts crowds of tourists that beneficially affects the well-being of its residents.
