Many of the residents of the village Madamba Mozambique (Tete province) earn money fishing and the sale of rats on the road. Stringing on a stick of 6-7 rats, and selling them for 10 Metical (approx. 8 rubles.), Each of the rat-catchers earn per day on average approximately 90 rubles. For many residents of poor villages rat is the only meat they can afford to buy.
