Yesterday traffic in the center of Moscow was almost completely stopped due to a fire in a subway station Okhotny Ryad. As it became known, a fire occurred due to a damaged high voltage cable insulation material which has a fire and almost instantly between the stations filled with acrid smoke. The consequence of this accident was the mass evacuation of more than five million passengers, which led to the present traffic jams in the capital. See below.
