An unusual find in the resort area
9-year-old from Kiev Ruslana and Lisa dug in the sand on the beach near the village of Koblevo Mykolaiv region ancient stone sculpture of an elephant.

July 15 at the recreation area Koblevo Mykolaiv region was found a unique find. During low tide in the sand near the shore, it was an open ancient elephant sculpture.
Initially, the stone out of the sand after the tide, no one paid attention. Interested lump at first only two little girls, Ruslan and Lisa, who came together with the relatives rest in Koblevo from Kiev.
Children began to dig an unidentified stone, and after the children managed to free about 30 centimeters of sculpture - the front limb of an animal, to help children and adults took.
Within hours, the forces of about 20 adults continued excavations in the evening and only managed to dig up the statue.
To get a boulder that weighs 2-2, 5 tons of the resulting hole and drag on a hard surface, had to call for help of volunteers. About a hundred people could still unleash unique find and install it on solid ground.
According to Andrei Zarichanskogo (tenant of the land), the museum experts do not mind that the elephant stood near the site of his findings on the coast, to all the campers could contemplate it.
"In the near future should be legally relevant documents designed to transfer a museum elephant rental entrepreneur for 49 years", - said A. Zarichansky.
Also in the plans of the land user to build a pedestal for the sculpture.
Vacationers have photographed near the unique finds and put an elephant into the open mouth of a coin.
Director of the Research Centre "Lukomorye" Kirill Gorbenko contacting the head of the Department of Underwater Heritage of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Sergei Voronov, said that this sculpture most likely hit the coast as a result of shipwreck, and can be dated to the age of 16-17.
"According to Sergei Voronov, there is written evidence that the area between the Berezan and the place where the port is now the South, there was a lot of shipwrecks, some ships simply disappeared, and some sat stranded on the shore," - said the scientist.
