Maternity hospital in Kenya

Pumwani Maternity Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya - one of the largest maternity hospital in the country. Due to the fact that women giving birth in the hospital to provide quality medical care, is considerably reduced the number of neonatal deaths. UNISEF advocates the improvement of maternal and child health in Kenya, where every year more than six million women die from complications of pregnancy and childbirth. Daily at Pumwani Maternity Hospital are more than two hundred women and children, some of whom are premature, sick and abandoned. The hospital has a women's consultation and post-natal care, delivery room, office for premature infants and the separation of prevention of HIV transmission from mother to child. Immunization, consultation, supplementary feeding for children, a referral - all available for those mothers who have already left the Pumwani Maternity Hospital.
