Kenya Orthodox

The Orthodox Church in Kenya was founded in the mid-20th century, Archbishop Makarios III of Cyprus. Currently, Kenya has about hundreds of Orthodox churches and more than 620 thousand Orthodox Christians. Many Kenyan villages do not even have grocery stores or schools, but there is a church. They are mostly mud. The priests in these villages are very poor, many are barefoot and in tattered old vestments. But despite the poverty of the Church are always full of people, especially during the arrival of the bishop. Orthodox Christians in Kenya met their hierarch traditional dances and songs.
