The tiny patients of this clinic were left alone with the disease, poverty Ukrainian medicine and doctors from God. In Kiev clinic Pediatric Neurosurgery Institute. Professor Yuri Orlov, head of the clinic since 1990, resulting in startling figures: in the five years before the explosion at Chernobyl and twenty years after the accident in children aged up to three years, the cancer has grown more than three times. This statistics of clinic staff can now be countered only by their skills. We have to work in a small room, often renovating outdated equipment for their money, despite the fact that salaries of surgeons, anesthetists and other staff absurdly small, and the budget for the purchase of medicines is not enough - they have to buy more parents. "All of us, the older generation, still believe that the medicine helps to keep and make our lives better," - says Professor Orlov.
