All that remains of the Italian village

The Italian village of Graun, submerged in the middle of the 20th century. Part of the parish church is still above the water.





Residents struggled to save his village, but to no avail. 163 houses and 1290 hectares of land were flooded because of the company's desire to build a dam produces electricity. The spire of the church is all that remains of the Graun.
