Natural disasters in Indonesia (34 photos)
This week in Indonesia was once two natural disasters. On Monday, an earthquake of magnitude 7, 7 points caused a tsunami that flooded the Mentawai archipelago in the western part of the country. Less than a day a few kilometers from the disaster site woke Merapi volcano, spewing into the air pyroclastic flows that destroyed villages, and covered the surrounding area with ash and smoke. Rescuers today only began to pick up in remote areas affected by natural disasters, but already reported 300 victims of the tsunami, and 30 died from a volcanic eruption.
