Personal war Yossi Lafer
This is Sergeant Yossi Lafer armored forces.
Yossi was discharged a month before the war in '67. But before the war, it is designed again. The company commander took him to his magicians fifth member of the crew. Their tank was destroyed and burned down the second in June 1967. The crew got out and tried to extinguish the fire with sand and fire extinguisher. The most absurd was the fact that none of the four tankers (company commander immediately moved to another tank) did not think to include fire suppression system. They were for so many years firmly drummed on exercises: These seals do not touch!
Another tank received the next day clashed with Isom. It only managed to knock out hit after the fifth.
Then he remembers that charging on the go for some reason climbed out and then seemed Egyptian armored personnel carriers.
The commander ordered Yossi charge the gun. Those charges. He picked up the next round, and closed his eyes in anticipation of the shot.
Babahnulo somehow outside and unusually strong, and several times.
(The tank was blown up by mines, while on the parapet of the trench Egyptian, and then caught the projectile into the engine room.)
When Yossi opened his eyes in the tank he was alone.
Tank commander ordered to leave the car, but Yossi heard, as his headset was disconnected from the intercom.
The crew picked up a passing tank.
To start Yossi moved into place and the gunner blew a suspicious house a kilometer from the tank (apparently there slapped him round the engine) and then began to shoot all of Egypt, that moved around: infantry, armored personnel carriers, conveniently tucked nalivnik.
Moving the driver's seat, he saw unrolled before the tank tracks. The engine did not work, but fortunately survived an auxiliary motor (as I understand it, to charge the battery). From him something and received electricity.
Yossi fought in his broken tank eight hours from eight in the morning until four in the afternoon. From time to time he looked in the hatch that would assess the situation.
During the next vyglyadyvaniya got all the hatch.
He was wounded in the arm and chest. Oskolok bullets hurt easy.
Overestimating the severity of injuries in the chest, he went to the bottom of the tank, pulled out a grenade and opened his mustache checks prepared to undermine itself.
But then it was a little relieved and Yossi sat down at the gun.
Finally, it called on the connection name: Yossi, get out, for you have come ...
For this fight Yossi Lafer received the highest award the Israeli Ituri HG.
