Drought in California

California is known for its hot and relatively dry climate, but since 1999 there began a period of record by any measure of drought. Now the authorities had to declare a state of emergency and urged residents to reduce water consumption by 20 per cent, but this does not help. Here is a picture of Lake Folsom upstate, which is a reservoir of fresh water.
