Rally for Fair Elections
The rallies on Bolotnaya Square, last December 10 and 11 this year in Moscow, did not leave indifferent to almost anyone. Every Russian who wants fair elections, I would like to support the protesters, but managed to only about 50 000 people, which in itself is not bad, because the mayor's office sanctioned only 30 000 thousand participants to the action of dissent. In general, the data on these figures vary and no one knows exactly how many people came. But one thing everyone knows for sure - 5 official demands made by the authorities. It:
1. Recognition of the elections invalid
2. The repeat voting
3. The resignation of the CEC head Vladimir Churov
4. Investigation of violations that occurred during the voting to be
5. Changes in the electoral legislation.
(Will heard these demands? It is sad, but it is unlikely ...)
The police during rallies do not run amok, even surprising, but proved to be a real democratic state police. No one was beaten, were taken to the police department is not (with the exception of some comrades, and in general everything was on the level). Gathered even chanted "Police with the people!».
Rallies were calm, and the victory in these elections the party "United Russia" has commented on them as follows: "Of course, people who express their protest against the election results, or to the way the elections were held, they have a right. We live in a democracy and in a democratic society. The expression of this point of view is extremely important and will be heard and the media, and society, and the state »
Doubts about that of course there is, but protesters have promised that already back here on December 24 if their opinion is heard and a number of requirements are not satisfied.
Rallies opening and closing song of Viktor Tsoi "Changes require our hearts," because it is as relevant as ever.
