World Day of Smurfs

This weekend, namely June 22 around the world held a celebration of the "World Day of Smurfs", which is organized by Columbia Pictures film companies and Sony Pictures Animation. Anyone wishing to take part in a grand celebration.





This event is timed to the birth of the Belgian painter Pierre Kalliforda known as Peyo. He is also the creator of the Smurfs.





In Moscow, "Day The Smurfs" was part of the Flower Festival in Gorky Park. It was created from the original painting Smurfs freshly cut roses. Visitors are offered a special treat - blue cotton candy and popcorn blue.



In Finland, the characters of the animated series came to visit children in orphanages and hospitals.



In Rome, for example, more than 4,000 tiny blue figures were scattered throughout the city, around famous landmarks and tourist centers, such as the Colosseum, Castel Sant'Angelo, Piazza di Spagna and Navona. In Italy, the annual celebration has been advertising the premiere of "The Smurfs 2", which is scheduled for September 26, 2013.
