Launched "Large Hadron Collider"
Currently underway is the first ever experiment on the collision of protons in the "Large Hadron Collider". And you can watch the whole process live. Broadcast comes with five cameras installed at various locations at CERN (European Center for Nuclear Research).

Recall that the Large Hadron Collider, or B.A.K. - Is a giant particle accelerator (accelerator length of more than 26 km.) For the acceleration of protons and ions to meet each other and to the study of the products of their collision. March 30, 2010, that is, today began the first long-term experiments. They will continue until the fall of 2011, after which the LHC will be closed for a long renovation.
Particular attention is paid to safety. On the media side is an active discussion of possible disasters associated with the occurrence of microscopic black holes, followed by a chain reaction. But as scientists say such a scenario experiment - is impossible. What we fully agree with them.
