Abandoned houses Detroit

According to statistics, the population of Detroit has decreased over the last fifty years, almost doubled. If in the middle of the last century there lived nearly two million people, last year - slightly more than 700 thousand.

The dramatic population decline was especially seen in the last ten years, when the industry started to carry out massive job cuts. The result of such events more than deplorable - almost a fifth of the housing stock of Detroit was unclaimed. Photographer Kevin Bauman (Kevin Bauman) - a patriot of the city, so I started to work on the project, which eventually was named "One hundred abandoned houses." Kevin himself, calls the project-specific directory of real estate hometown.
