Two chapels inside the oak
In a small French village Allouville-Bellefosse is an ancient oak, which are hidden two small chapels. The exact age of the tree is unknown. Presumably, the oak for at least 800 years.
Some researchers argue that the tree has lived for over a thousand years. We will not argue, but we can confidently assert that we face one of the oldest trees on the planet. Back in the 17th century oak struck by lightning, causing the inside of the tree essentially burned. Representatives of the local abbey took the incident as a sign from above and created in Oak Church of Our Lady. Later, at the second level, there was a second chapel and both temples were called - «Notre Dame de la Paix» (Our Lady Peace) and «Chambre De L'Ermite» (Room hermit). Today, in places where there is no crust, its owner, stones wooden shingles. The temple is a place of pilgrimage on August 15 at the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
