French photographer is the author of not one hundred photographs taken on the quiet streets of the French capital. And the most remarkable thing that the main object of shooting for Eugene was not just the architecture and atmosphere of those times.

Eugène Atget (Eugene Atget) - born in the small town of Libourne, on the outskirts of Bordeaux. Born in 1857, the year, in five years, became an orphan and was brought up by parents mom. After high school he worked in the merchant navy. In Paris, he appeared when he was 21. The guy wanted to be an actor, and walked in the acting class. Only at the second attempt he succeeded. But conscription made it impossible to finish the courses. Later, unable to get into a mobile theater, but was forced to abandon the career of the actor when he learned about the disease of the vocal cords. The theater gave him a love of life Valentine Delafosse Companion. Having lost faith in the future of the theater, Eugene a few years left Paris, but soon returned, already a professional photographer. In 1898, the year his photos buy several museums and libraries. And one of them makes the order to Eugene, most of the work from which you now see. Photographer died in Paris at the age of 70 years. His favorite Valentine had died a year earlier.
