The brand Volkswagen and Sanyo Electric, a division of the Japanese company Sanyo, will work together to build lithium-ion batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles. Development plan to present in 2012.
Lithium-ion batteries are smaller and lighter than those used in vehicles today. According to experts, it will reduce the weight of the vehicle, an average of 200-300 kg, and make themselves more environmentally friendly cars.
