Cyprus abandoned resort of Varosha (52 photos) Bashny.Net

Previously, it was one of the best resorts in Europe, there was visited by many celebrities and politicians.
But that all changed in August 1974, when this part of Cyprus has been occupied by the Turkish army.
Cyprus has been divided into North and South, as Varosha was surrounded by barbed wire.
Since then, all the buildings are standing there empty.
