  3. Use your nail file. In order for the knife to acquire the necessary sharpness, they need to rub on the rough surface of the nail tool.
  4. You can sharpen knives with a flat stone, which has a smooth surface. It should be carried out several times with a knife on both sides, moving from the handle to the very tip of the blade. Another way to sharpen a knife is to swipe it several times between two clamped stones.
  5. Experienced chefs manage to sharpen knives, vigorously moving their surfaces against each other.
  6. Small sandpaper folded twice can also serve as a sharpener. They put a knife inside, squeeze it and pull it out. Say that a few times.

Some grinding stones are recommended to be wet before working with water or oil. But there are experimenters who advise not only to moisten the bar itself, but also to hold five minutes in the salty liquid of the knife blade, so that it is more effectively sharpened.



To prepare the solution, it is enough to stir 2 tablespoons of rock salt in one liter of water. It is not recommended to carry out this procedure with knives, the blade of which is made of steel of questionable quality.
