Mathematical warm-up found in an old written notebook in the attic

In school, not every child loves mathematics. Many convinced “humanities” think that the significance of this subject is greatly exaggerated. And so even in adulthood, they expect not to encounter mathematical science. This only leads to the fact that even simple maths It can drive such a person into a dead end.

We're in the newsroom. "Site" We believe that every adult should be friends with mathematics. After all, we all need to count and calculate something from time to time, everyone needs to competently manage money. And how is it possible if you get lost in the sight of elementary mathematical examples?

Therefore, today we offer several tasks that can be called charging for the mind, and solving them is interesting. You'll also test your math skills. It is not for nothing that so much time was allocated to this subject in school.

The math challenge
  1. The first task is very suitable for the current difficult times. From the examples shown in the picture, you should find out what numbers are hidden behind the disinfectant, Santa Claus and medical gloves. Only then can the last example be solved.

  2. The next task seems similar, but here you need to try not to make a mistake. You will need not only knowledge of the basic mathematical rules, but also attentiveness. After all, each woman in the last example has one or even several gadgets.

  3. And as a final challenge, we propose a more difficult task. The picture shows examples of fruits. It is necessary to calculate what values are hidden behind apples, slashed kiwis and lemons. Can you manage to give an answer to a decisive example? Try it.

Solving our math problems
  1. If three disinfectant containers add up to 63, then one such bottle is 63/3 = 21. In this case, the value (31 – 21) / 2 = 5 is hidden behind the doctor. A pair of gloves then equals (13-5) / 2 = 4. Now we have all the data to sort out the latest example. It will look like this: 21 + (5 + 21) * 2 = 21 + 26 * 2 = 73.

  2. Behind one woman lies the value of 60/3 = 20. Then the headphones should be (30 – 20) / 2 = 5. From the third example, we can calculate that the laptop is 20 – 10 = 10. And 4 iPhones equal 18 – 10 = 8, where one equals 2. The last example is 10 + 5 + 10 + 2 + 10 + 5 + 10 = 52.

  3. Since we draw 1.5 kiwis in each example, we can simply count it as 1 kiwi for simplicity of calculation. Then the first example tells us that 4 apples = 3 kiwi. The second example is that 4 apples equal 2 kiwi + lemon. We know what kiwi = lemon. In the fourth example, kiwi = lemon = 12. Now we can find the meaning behind the apple. The third example, 28 – 12 – 12 = 4. The last example is 4 + 12 = 16.

They didn’t seem to make a mistake, but who knows? We hope you enjoyed solving these problems. Don’t forget to write down the answers you got. Maybe we were wrong somewhere.
