Adults who are not afraid to make mistakes

Many people believe that mathematics is a complex and boring science, where you need to puzzle over endless equations, formulas and theorems. Actually, maths Not a myth, but a reality. And with the help of various examples and curious problems, even a convinced humanitarian can well “pump” his mathematical skills.

And today's edition. "Site" It offers a couple of interesting tasks that are unlikely to be able to cope with many. Do you think math is your strength and want to test your knowledge? Do you want to know how rightly a strict math teacher gave you the highest ball? Then try to solve these problem examples.

Fascinating mathematics
  1. Even many adults get confused when it comes to the order of arithmetic operations. Someone first performs multiplication, and someone first begins to divide. What is the correct way and how to calculate to correctly solve our example?

  2. The second task offers a kind of “musical” problem. You will not only have to test your mathematical abilities, but also be smart and attentive to avoid making a mistake and give the right answer.

  3. The third task seems pretty complicated. However, if you decide on the first two, then you are already warmed up and ready for any difficult task. Try to calculate what values are hidden behind the colorful figures in the picture.

Task tips
  1. First we perform division and multiplication, and only then addition and subtraction. This is one of those rules that should be remembered. And with this information, we can easily understand our example: 7 + 1 + 49 - 7 = 1 + 49 = 50.

  2. Here we can immediately find out what is behind the pipe 24/3 = 8. Then there'll be 16 behind a couple of pipes. If you take the guitar for, the second line will take the form 2 * 2 + 16 = 80, from where 42 = 80 - 16 = 64. Hence 2 = 64/4 = 16. Therefore, the guitar is equal to the square root of 16. Namely 4. Then the musical symbol is 26 – 4 * 4 = 10. Therefore, the last example should look like this: 2 * 4 + 8 * 2 * 10 = 8 + 160 = 168.

  3. Behind the mug we have 10/2 = 5. It was easy to find. But then what? If we replace the square, we get the equation 5 + = 12. So 6 = 12, where = 12 / 6 = 2. Knowing that the square hides 2, try to rewrite the last line. Let the triangle be denoted as y. 5 * 2 - 5 * y = 5. So 10 is 5y = 5. So 5y = 10 – 5 = 5. So y (triangle) is 1.

These are the interesting tasks that came out. Did you manage to deal with everyone? Don’t forget to share your answers, and also tell us whether it was interesting to solve these tasks and whether we should publish new problems in a similar way.
