How Mikhail Gorbachev Changed the World in 91 Years

On August 30, Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev died. The person of the last Secretary General (and at the same time the first President of the USSR) can be treated differently. Some thank him for giving fifteen Soviet republics the chance to self-determination and gain independence. Others complain about the collapse of the USSR. Still others recall the bloody suppression of peaceful rallies in Almaty, Baku, Tbilisi, Riga, as well as the silence of the Chernobyl accident.

Gorbachev’s personality is ambiguous. It takes time to impartially assess the actions of Mikhail Sergeyevich. For now, we will offer our condolences to his relatives, and at the same time recall the most striking statements of Mikhail Gorbachev.

Wikipedia: "It had to go through." Take any question: property, publicity, husband and wife or woman and man. All this and everything that we touched on – Gorbachev is to blame for everything. That was not the way to stay.”

And, frankly, they expected us to be carried by the developed West. No way! It is an illusion, a utopia, no one will wear anyone anywhere.

Wikipedia: Stalin is a man covered in blood. I saw his resolutions, which he signed in batches together with Molotov, Voroshilov, Kaganovich and Zhdanov. The top five were proactive.”

We have no doubt that democracy is a good thing, but we must first address the fundamental needs of citizens. If authoritarianism is necessary, I welcome it.

“Counting how much is hot in presentations would be enough to help many in need.”

How much have our restructuring and new thinking saved? Hundreds of billions of dollars for the rest of the world!

Wikipedia: I am with Jesus Christ in this case. He was our first socialist. Nothing can be done about this.”

Wikipedia: "I'll answer you in Gorbachevian." You know it will be more difficult than a simple answer.”

Mikhail Gorbachev’s statements are contradictory. But you have to understand that he said it at different times. These quotes can be traced how the worldview of Mikhail Sergeyevich changed. His path to the Nobel Peace Prize was winding and arduous.
