In all his actions, he trusted God and asked for blessings for himself and his patients. A doctor, a priest and just a holy man - such was Luke Krymsky.

Saint Luke of Crimea He tells us what prayer to pray to the saint.
Saint Luke (in the world Valentin Felixovich Voyno-Yasenetsky) was born in the city of Kerch in 1877. Since childhood, he dreamed of becoming an artist and even thought of entering the Academy of Arts, but fate decreed otherwise.
During the entrance exams he doubted. I decided that I have no right to do what I just like, that you need to choose an occupation that will serve the benefit of people. He devoted his life to medicine. Valentin Felixovich brilliantly finished his studies and began his career as a doctor in the hospital of Chita.
After working for some time in the hospital, seeing the consequences of general anesthesia, he came to the conclusion that in most cases it should be replaced with local anesthesia. This became the main topic of his medical research, he successfully implemented this method in his work, and patients even from neighboring counties drew to him.
He often took part in spiritual disputes, where he argued with followers of scientific atheism. After one of these speeches Bishop Innocent approached him and said, “Doctor, you should be a priest.” Before that, Valentine had never thought about the sacred order, but then gladly accepted the offer.
The following Sunday he was ordained deacon, and soon elevated to the rank of priest. His difficult journey has since begun. Valentin Felixovich worked as a doctor, professor and priest. He continued to study, and at the same time zealously preached.
In 1923, after a schism and turmoil in the bosom of the church, the local bishop was forced to hide and entrusted the administration of the diocese to Father Valentine. Exile Bishop Andrew of Ufa, while in the city passing, approved the election of Valentine. This bishop tonsured Valentine as a monk under the name Luke and sent him to a small town near Samarkand.
But after his first liturgy in Tashkent, Luka was arrested and sentenced to two years in exile to Siberia. He was accused of counter-revolutionary activities and espionage. He returned to Tashkent only in 1926. In the terrible conditions of exile, Luke did not lose faith and continued to help the sick. Although his own health was severely damaged.
For a time he was a vicar bishop, but soon he was advised to retire. He continued to practice medicine and lived quietly for about three years. However, a new trouble occurred and Bishop Luke was arrested again. He was subjected to further interrogation and imprisonment in solitary confinement, which further undermined his health.
After that, the bishop was sent to a new three-year exile. After his release in 1933, he declined the offer to head a free episcopal see and devoted himself entirely to scientific research. He returned to Tashkent, where he published his work “Essays on Purulent Surgery”, which soon became a classic of medical literature.
While working in Tashkent, the saint fell ill with a tropical disease, which led to detachment of the retina. At the same time, Vladyka did not leave his job and continued to heal until 1937. However, even here fate prepared him for new trials. Luke was again arrested, interrogated and exiled.
There, Luca obtained permission to practice surgery. During the war he became the chief surgeon of the Krasnoyarsk hospital. At the same time, he served as a bishop in the diocese of the region, where, according to the Communists, there was no functioning church. In 1946 he was transferred to Crimea and appointed Archbishop of Simferopol.
He also did not leave the doctor, but due to illness he was forced to stop operating. He continued to give free consultations and assisted local doctors with advice. Through his prayers, many miraculous healings took place.
In 1956, the saint was completely blind, but continued to serve the liturgy, preach and lead the diocese. He courageously continued his fight against atheists and opposed the closure of churches. Until his last breath, he did not abandon his struggle and faith.
The saint left this world on June 11, 1961. It is on this day that we remember Saint Luke and honor his memory with our prayers. The tomb of the saint became a place of pilgrimage, great miracles of healing take place here to this day. The saint does not abandon believers and continues to ask the Lord for blessings for all who ask.
The saint is addressed when there is a desire, an opportunity, a need. It is not necessary to pray only on the day of remembrance, you can say a prayer at least every day. We pray to the saint because we love him and thank him for everything. If you need to ask for something, you can safely ask for help.

Saint Luke of Crimea They turn when there are health problems and need healing. If he does, he will ask the Lord for forgiveness and healing. To turn to the saint, you can say a prayer.
Prayer to Luke of Crimea “O blessed confessor, to our holy father Luke, the great saint of Christ.” With tenderness bow our hearts, and falling to the race of your honest and multi-purpose relics, like the children of your father, we pray fervently: Hear us sinners and bring our prayer to the Merciful and Man-loving God. To Him you are now in the joy of the saints, and from the face of an angel come. We believe that you love the same love, because all your neighbors loved you when you were on earth.
Ask Christ our God to confirm His children in the spirit of right faith and piety: Let the pastors be given holy zeal and care for the salvation of the people entrusted to them: the right of believers to observe, the weak and weak in faith to strengthen, the ignorant to instruct, the disgusting to rebuke. Give to all of us the gift of someone who is well-behaved, and everything more useful to the life of time and to eternal salvation.
Our cities are established, the fruit-bearing land, deliverance from glaciation and perdition. To those who grieve for consolation, to those who fail to heal, to those who are lost in the way of truth, to the parent of blessing, to children in fear of the Lord education and teaching, to the poor and the poor help and intercession.
Give us all your archpastoral blessing, but you have such a prayerful intercession, let us get rid of the evil one’s intrigues and avoid all enmity and disorder, heresies and schisms.
Guide us to the path that leads to the righteous, and pray for us to the omnipotent God, that in eternal life we may be made worthy with you incessantly glorify the One-Substantial and Indivisible Trinity, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
