Why put a cat tray on the hill

Many people think cats are too willful. In this regard, most people think that it is almost impossible to accustom a cat to something new. So they don't even try to do that.

However, it should be understood that caring for a cat is not only about feeding and nurturing it. Among other things, caring for pets implies their training in order to make living with a furry pet more comfortable and calm.

Previously edited "Site" I already told you how to stop a cat from jumping on the table. Today we will talk about what you need to do to get rid of the need to constantly check and clean the cat tray.

It is no secret that the owners of cute shastikas are much more difficult to keep the house clean than those who do not have pets. This is especially true of cat owners.

The unpleasant smell coming from the restroom and the filler for the cat toilet scattered throughout the house pretty much affect the overall atmosphere in the house (and not in the good sense of the word). It is not surprising that some people began to look for a solution to the problem and eventually managed to find one.

Experienced cat owners say: “In order to permanently rid yourself of the worries associated with cleaning the cat tray, you should simply accustom the cat to the toilet.” And if you look at the instructions below, you can see that doing this is really very simple.

How to train a cat to the toilet
  1. First, it is worth mentioning that the most suitable for training as a candidate will be a healthy cat at the age of 1 year. Animals with any health problems should not be disturbed to avoid worsening their condition.

  2. As for the beginning of training, the first thing to do is to place the cat tray right next to the toilet and just wait a few days for the animal to get used to the new conditions. This will allow you to continue learning without undue stress for the pet. Over the following days, as the cat reacts calmly to the changes, gradually increase the height for the tray. As an elevation, you can use cardboard boxes or stacks of old newspapers (magazines).

Do not rush your pet and put the tray several levels above the former. So you risk completely discourage the cat’s desire to find a place to cope with the need.

  3. At the end of the first stage, it is best to use an unnecessary stool as an elevation. It is important that his seat is about the same level as the toilet tyre. When the cat has mastered the required height, move the tray directly to the toilet. This stage of training is the most troublesome, since the tray, now and then, will have to be removed and re-fixed on the toilet tyre with the help of tape. But believe me, the end result is worth it.

It takes at least 5 days to fix the location of the toilet in the animal’s memory.

  4. Next, the tray should be completely removed and a special system for cat training should be installed on the rim of the toilet. It can easily be made independently or purchased in almost any pet store. This system is a fiberboard, with the planned levels of the hole, which over time must be gradually expanded.

In the end, only a thin bezel will remain of the system, slightly visible under the toilet lid. This rim can be safely disposed of, because the cat clearly no longer needs it.

That's the average time. cat-training It takes up to one month. It all depends on how stubborn your favorite will be.

Especially obedient animals cope with training in just 1.5-2 weeks. In exceptional cases, to accustom the cat to the toilet may not work at all. Therefore, we do not advise to recklessly get rid of the tray before you make sure that the cat has fully settled into a new place.
