Why dip flowers in plaster solution

You can buy anything today. And if you need to decorate a house, then the choice of various interesting gizmos for decorating your home is so huge that your eyes simply run up. We in the editorial office of "Site" are sure that it is the things made by ourselves that create more comfort. Therefore, we suggest that you build a plaster bas-relief with your own hands .

You will have to tinker a little to make a beautiful little thing out of old plastic flowers that will amaze your guests. Surely they will not immediately believe that this is the creation of your hands, because the decoration will really turn out to be spectacular.

Do-it-yourself bas-relief We will place a clock in the center of our bas-relief. It will be much more interesting this way. Although you can turn on your imagination and arrange something else. For example, a small mirror.

The first step is to prepare the artificial flowers. Surely something like this was lying around either on the mezzanine, or in the closet, or even on the balcony. In extreme cases, flowers can be bought. And at the same time, buy a simple watch, if you plan to make a composition with them.

Flowers need to be disassembled as much as possible. Fold the petals separately, the leaves too. Sharp scissors are definitely indispensable here. Then add the composition in the form in which you want to get the final result. Take a photo: it will be your guide in your future work.

Now prepare the surface where: it will be much more convenient to work this way.

In a separate container, mix the putty or even plaster mortar. In consistency, it should resemble ryazhanka: not very liquid and not very thick. Just a suitable mixture so that you can dip the previously prepared leaves or petals.

Put the resulting elements to dry on a film. Then dip again and dry again. Keep in mind that drying takes several hours each time, so it is easier to dip in the evening and leave to dry overnight.

On a plywood base (we have 5 mm thick) mark the center. Put the clock here. Circle them with a pencil so that other elements of the composition do not inadvertently move. And with the help of liquid nails, begin to glue flowers and leaves in accordance with the previously made plan (thus the photo).

How to paint a bas-relief When everything is dry, paint the bas-relief with emulsion paint. You can do this both with a regular brush and with a spray can. Moreover, the second option is still preferable. Let it dry.

The last layer can be applied, for example, pearlescent enamel. This will make the bas-relief even more interesting. Also, with the help of paint, you can "age" the watch itself. For the side of the bas-relief, it is better to choose a brighter paint. But here it is as you like. Done!

The result is a wonderful designer piece that will add fresh colors to any home. It remains only to hang on the wall and admire. Isn't that beauty worth your effort?
