How to store bread so that it does not stale and mold

In big cities, the selection of bread in stores is simply huge. There is for every taste and wallet. Naturally, the more expensive a product is, the better it is, although this is not always the case. In smaller cities, the situation is not so rosy: the quality drops dramatically, many even buy bread machines for themselves and bake bread themselves.

However, a loaf from a nearby convenience store can get moldy outdoors, even in sunny weather. In this case, you need to be especially careful and know exactly how to store bread at home using available tools. This is exactly what we will tell you today.

How to store bread But first, a little interesting
  1. A good, high-quality loaf of bread contains all the fats, proteins and carbohydrates that the human body needs so much. If you eat only it, you will gain weight, but in general you will be absolutely healthy.

  2. The first bread was made not from cereals, but from acorns or nuts.
  3. Back in 2500 BC, the ancient Greeks were able to bake about 80 different types of bread.

  4. In ancient Egypt, bread also served as currency.
  5. The French eat the most bread per capita in the world.

  6. All over the world, breads made from wheat, rye, oats, sorghum, barley, corn, millet, dhurr and rice can be seen.

Our way of preserving bread you need
  • aluminum soda can
  • scissors
  • heat shrink
  • disposable bag
  • a sheet of paper and a hole punch or
  • awl and gas burner

Manufacturing
  1. Take scissors and cut the soda can so that you separate the middle part from it, the thin canvas that we need. From this cloth, cut into strips 45 mm long and 5 mm wide.

  2. Heat shrink cut to length 45 mm. Insert a strip of aluminum and heat into each piece for convenience. The heat shrink will lock in and you will have quality clamps.
  3. Take a disposable bag and fold it in half. Now you have 2 options for how to make ventilation holes in it.
  4. You can place the bag in a folded sheet of paper and make holes with a hole punch (you can't do that without a sheet of paper).

  5. Or you can simply heat an awl over a gas burner fire and make holes in the bag that will immediately be cauterized and will not stretch.

Place the bread in a bag and secure the edges of the bag with a clip. Now you are not afraid of mold. But as an alternative, let's look at a few more ways to preserve bread.

How else can you save bread
  1. In the old days, our ancestors wrapped bread in a linen towel. So he was protected and at the same time could "breathe" and not harden.
  2. If you cut the bread not from the edge, but from the middle and then connect the cut, it will stay fresh longer.

  3. In the freezer . Just store it in the freezer for at least a few months, and preheat it in the oven before use. The bread will be delicious and aromatic. But it will begin to harden almost immediately. Therefore, try to calculate the amount of bread you need.
  4. Baking will stay fresh much longer if you put a fresh apple in the same container.

We hope these tips will help you keep fresh bread free from mold and keep it fresh and tasty for a long time. Modern production facilities cannot guarantee 100% quality, so we, the inhabitants, have to go to all sorts of tricks. Self-made bread is not suitable for everyone, which means that the question of the safety of store bread is still relevant.
