Why put the air conditioner in the toilet bowl

The smell in the toilet is a problem that we all want to avoid. When standard methods do not help, smartness and ingenuity come to the rescue. And a vivid example of this is the improvised toilet freshener from our article.

This was the first time I saw a toilet freshener on the Internet. There was no Russian text, and I did not immediately understand the meaning of the mysterious manipulations that a brisk Italian grandmother did on the video.

Filling the floor of a small plastic bottle with plain water, she put some blue remedy into it (later I learned that it was an air conditioner for underwear).

Then, for some reason, I made little holes in the bottle.

Removed the lid of the toilet bowl and sent it all the resulting design.

It turned out that this bottle with air conditioning and water is the home equivalent of air freshener. Through small holes, the air conditioner gradually seeps into the water and with each flushing, a pleasant smell is felt.

This method has another non-obvious, but rather useful consequence. The volume of water in the tank will decrease, but not so much as to affect the quality of its work. Water bills will be a little lower.

You can, of course, not bother and pour air conditioning directly into the tank. That's just the effect of such a procedure is enough for only a few washes.

Why put toothpaste in a tank? What not to hide unconscious citizens in a drain tank... And money and valuables, but did you have to sink toothpaste in it? You will be surprised, but it helps to eliminate plaque, rust, disinfect the surface of the toilet and get rid of unpleasant smells.

Choose the cheapest toothpaste with the most “nuclear” smell. Make as many holes as possible in the tube and put it in a drain tank. Now each drain will refresh and even slightly disinfect the toilet. It is better to make holes small, then one tube will last for 2-3 months.

As you know, the sixth feat of Hercules was the cleaning of the stables of King Augius, which had not been cleaned for 30 years. The average person does not look into the toilet tank much more often than Augius does in his stables. At the same time, the scale of pollution in it sometimes reaches epic proportions!

Earlier we told how to completely get rid of deposits of lime plaque and rust in the drain tank. But this is more of a way for perfectionists. And today we have a light version of the solution to this common household problem.

You will need a glass of table 9% vinegar and the indispensable queen of purity - baking soda. Mix a glass of heated to 40 degrees vinegar with a tablespoon of soda. And the resulting mixture is poured for several hours in a drain tank.

Vinegar dissolves lime plaque, cleanses parts from rust, destroys unpleasant odors. It is best to use it in the evening so that the solution can affect the contamination all night. To consolidate the result, you can repeat the procedure several times.

It happens that an unpleasant smell in the toilet treacherously overtakes you at the most inopportune moment. For example, there are only a few minutes left before the guests arrive. Here can help out a little trick, which is used in their practice flight attendants.

Natural coffee, in addition to its direct purpose, can be used to clean the air in the toilet! All that remains to be done is to leave a cup of freshly brewed coffee there and pour some ground down the toilet.

The aroma of a strong drink in a matter of seconds will eliminate not only the stench, but also the sharp smells of chemicals. A cup with coffee grounds, taken from a coffee maker, does not hurt to keep on hand at all. It can be used instead of household chemicals and as a remedy for insects, and as an air freshener, and even as a scrub.

The tools are very simple, besides, there is no fuss with them. We’ve tried them and they really work. What do you say?
