Scholars’ Green Park - a new typology of student Park from the canadian architects

Canadian architectural Studio gh3 have designed the Scholars’ Green Park project to the student Park with innovative typology, located in MISSISSAUGA (Ontario, Canada).

Located in the centre of the new campus of Sheridan College, geometric lined area represents the symbiosis of the city Park and the academic environment, providing a comfortable atmosphere open to students, faculty and guests of the institution.

A unique landscape formed by forming walking paths, effective from the point of view of interaction with each other and the external landscape, located outside the Park boundaries.

The Park consists of several complementary programmes: the micro-forest, walking paths, amphitheaters, cafes and public area for conducting training programmes under the open sky.

In the Central part of the Park, the trees thinned for the formation of an open, unifying space. In the vicinity of the green zone is sealed in order to provide the possibility of privacy for walking in solitude and small groups of all ages. The abundance of vegetation seeks to create a favorable microclimate on campus.
