Creative recycling: a fascinating installation by Bruce Munro



Creative recycling is becoming a real trend. Proof of the installation of Bruce Munro. A few thousand CD posted throughout the Waddesdon Manor – the most beautiful castle in England — create captivating its sparkle Ghost installation. Two colossal artwork, "angel of Light" and "Blue Moon on a Platter" — by Munro in different ways, but both for more atmospheric lighting is used.




As part of the festive decorations, illuminated projects, Munro will give an additional charm to the atmosphere of the decorations of gardens Buckinghamshire that are made on the theme of English traditions and literature. The installation "angel of Light" was created about 50 000 CD, which form a circle in front of the house and looks like a dazzling lobby. The installation is surrounded by LED candles battery powered, and with their help sparkles even at night.



To create a "Blue moon on a Platter", Munro used a different technique — attached thousands of CD's to the benches of the amphitheatre with a radius of 28 meters. In the center of the installation is the "Moon", consisting of 150 spheres of coiled optic fiber, glowing blue light, which then passes through a CD. The perfect accompaniment to this spectacle provides a sounding next to a soundtrack of 18 songs on the lunar surface.
