Second Zhyzni home appliances
For the famous refrigerator "ZIL", produced by the Moscow factory a few decades ago, was installed a service life of 25 years. The service life of current refrigerator "Indesit" of Russian origin only 7 years old. It is not that modern technology is less reliable. Manufacturers beneficial to consumers often updated appliances, which is reflected in the properties of the equipment.
Some of the models are absolutely not suited to repair, others require the recovery of costs commensurate with the cost of a new product. The result of this policy were the mountains of discarded household appliances, which nobody wants to fix. From an environmental point of view these mountains are the consequence of the policy is inexcusable squandering of the planet's resources.
Designer from France Gaspard tine-Beres (Gaspard Tiné-Berès) proposes to abandon the inefficient use of resources and everywhere to restore the lost properties of appliances, using them as components for new products, complemented by a "green" parts of natural cork.
Project Short circuit (Short Circuit) grew out of initiatives of local authorities in the London district Islington "Bright sparks" (Bright Sparks). The British collect unnecessary appliances like toasters and kettles, bring it in order and sell at discount prices.
Tine-Beres went on. Refurbished units old appliances it adds new pens and buildings from natural cork. To date, the designer has developed and created a coffee maker, toaster and kettle – all damaged from discarded appliances and recycled materials.
"My coffee maker, kettle and toaster made of reusable components and secondary of glassware, like wine bottles or chemical glasses. They have standard sizes and they are everywhere," says the designer.
Product Tina-Beresh – an example of an inexpensive and ecologically oriented products. Besides, the author believes that a business built around reuse and recycling of electronics, can create new jobs, benefiting equally as the environment and local communities.
Developing a direction of ecological design based on secondary electronics, tine-Beres, together with the famous craftsman Tristan Kopp (Tristan Kopp) organized a Studio RE-DO Studio, designed to work in the field of sustainable design. Creative couple is actively cooperating with the initiative "Bright sparks" and plans to introduce this year's collection of products available for purchase.
