In new York, to be more exact, metro, has launched a very interesting project that should work on rapprochement of passengers with the public library and educate residents in the global and domestic literature. Underground Library is a special innovative technical program, through which every visitor of the subway will be able to read any book right on your phone. This gadget must be equipped with a special function.
In order to get the right text, the visitor must come to the place where the posters of books (original library metro) and bring the smartphone to the right. After a few seconds the user gets access to the book. The first ten pages, you can give absolutely free, after that you will be offered a download edition cheap, or advise the library where you can find the paper version of the work. The authors of this idea were students AD School Ferdi Rodriguez, Keri Tan, Max Pilot. Their program works on the basis of NFC tags, which are equipped with posters with pictures of the roots books.
However, the technical equipment of the project is not yet at full, because the new York subway still has no Wi-Fi. Because of this, search engine of books is not running at full capacity. However, visitors are satisfied and the transfer speed is quite enough. Interestingly, when you exit the subway car, passengers who have used the public library, gets on your phone the address of the nearest library branches, in the form of maps. Such a move invented in order to increase attendance at various library branches in new York.
