Created a catapult for humans: a new game based jumpers
American mechanical engineer Jason "Speaking the name" bell (Jason Bell) spends his spare time creating a variety of devices and systems. Among his developments of the electric mini car (go-kart), and even automation to smart homes, which allow you to remotely monitor the lighting, cameras, etc. But perhaps one of the most incredible projects is considered to be a catapult designed to launch people.
For testing catapults used stuffed animals, and even sand bags weighing up to 100 pounds. Not all went without problems: because of the huge load during the test, one of the bearings "shot" with velocity. I had to change it for a new one, which was made by special order, and even add in a damping of the spring.
In this release, the catapult can send the average daredevil flying about 6 feet up and 15 feet to the side. The whole process, alas, is less than a second.
