How to charge your smartphone with water?

Not long ago, industrial designer Burt Hamner invented a charger that is called the HydroBee, a kind of portable hydroelectric station. It generates electrical current using the energy of flowing water.

Of course, to use the HydroBee assuming you are near the water flow, for example, river, or well near the water faucet. But, unlike the charging device with solar panels, this unit is able to work regardless of weather or time of day.

Portable hydroelectric HydroBee has two main parts. In the center is a cylindrical battery pack that contains six 1,2 V NiMH AA batteries, integrated USB port and installed from outside the wheel. This unit can be used separately, if you set it on the end of a faucet or hose. When the flow of tap water through the unit, the wheel rotates and drives the generators producing electricity, which is accumulated in batteries. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/burthamner/harvest-natures-energy-for-usb-power-to-go/widget/video.html
