Russia will build a wind farm in the Arctic

Today, we increasingly turn our attention to "green" technologies — they are safe for the environment and more profitable. So, according to forecasts of the Ministry of economy of the Russian Federation, the price of traditional energy sources in the next 20 years will increase by five times.

Including this fact is the reason that Russia is starting to use alternative energy. So, decided to build on the White sea coast of the Arctic wind.

The wind farm will be built by domestic specialists from the "Mezhregionenergo" together with German partners — company SoWiTec.

Place for a wind farm matched perfectly — the experts considered that the wind that blows here constantly, will provide an opportunity to generate hundreds of millions of kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.

Also plan to create wind farms on the Kola Peninsula, where it's hard to use another form of energy.

The construction of a new wind farm will cost, according to preliminary estimates, 500 million dollars, but to pay off the project by 2030.

However, experts claim that consumers is not going to affect the price of electricity will remain the same.
