Ecohome in Norwegian style at the Arctic Circle

The house is located in the northern part of Norway on the island of Vega, near the Arctic Circle. Around - majestic and harsh landscapes with extensive panoramas of the Norwegian Sea and pointed mountain peaks. A little further, near the coast, there are several boathouses built in the traditional style for this area, arranged in such a way that the first hut shelters those behind it. They served as a model for architects who wanted to build something similar, but with a modern look and minimal impact on the landscape. The house consists of two parts, located on different levels, according to the topography of the site. In the first, standing higher, there are several small bedrooms, and in the second, lower - a spacious room with large windows on three sides and a fireplace in the center. For the decoration of the interior, a pine board covered with natural olive oil was used, as well as decorative elements from untreated birch.
