A year around the world want to make free Internet
In 2015, every inhabitant of our planet at any point will receive free Internet access through Wi-Fi. Grandiose in its ambition, the project launches an American public organization MDIF (Media Development Investment Fund), informs NewsOboz.org with reference to Ukrainian news.
It has officially announced that it plans to launch a new global and free for end-users of the Internet.
Its name is Outernet.
The company plans to place on orbit a lot of miniature satellites CubeSats and use them to cover the Wi-Fi network throughout the globe.
In fact, the Outernet will be a giant analog Wi-Fi router to which you will not need a password to connect. To the network you can connect for free from any Wi-Fi enabled device. Outernet founders hope that the project will be launched, and the Internet will become truly free to your network to connect even the inhabitants of totalitarian countries, where the Internet is prohibited by the state, such as North Korea.
In early 2015, MDIF plans to begin Assembly of the spacecraft that are required for the project. This will require tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars that MDIF hope to collect through donations. Around the middle of 2015, the programme needs to reach the final stage, giving all mankind free wireless Internet access. However, the company clarified that the first time free access will be granted only to certain web sites.
