Proper baby food in the summer months

What to feed an infant in the summer?

  • If your baby is less than six months and you feed him breast, it is a complete diet for your baby, rich in all essential vitamins and minerals. But in especially hot days, give your child non-carbonated mineral water, is better a specialized nursery. It is important that it was room temperature, otherwise it may cause the baby stomach problems. Moreover, in this period, especially watch your diet. If you decide to go in the summer with a child on vacation in a warm country, you have to abandon the overly exotic food (superstroy pizza, dried grasshoppers and Scorpions, etc.), because feeding lactating mothers must be balanced and correct, with obviously predictable reaction to the foods consumed.
  • In the summer if you plan to take the child from the breast, then this is the perfect season for a similar problem: fresh and healthy vegetables and fruits at hand, easy to purchase. Again don't forget about the ready baby cereals and purees, which also will now be the baby's diet. By the way, for a child at this age is very useful pureed peaches and apricots, strawberries and raspberries, especially if they are cooked just before eating. Parents, it is important to take precautions: give these products to be very careful, watch the reaction of the baby on them, and isn't allergic.
  • If you are breast-feeding a baby, and he already eats mixtures and complementary foods, choose those that are sold in stores. If you cook at home in the heat, not the fact that you will be able to comply with all rules of hygiene, and therefore the probability of bacterial contamination, for which the highest temperature favorable for reproduction, as a result, it can lead to food poisoning of the child. If you do decide to cook, then cook the vegetables on a steam bath, without salt, but with a small amount of olive oil, then beat with a mixer or skip several times through a meat grinder.
