Rhinos in Zimbabwe are rescued by a former special forces officer.

In much of Africa, anti-poaching tactics have remained virtually unchanged for decades. Small groups of trained and ill-equipped rangers are sent every day to conduct patrols in remote and dangerous locations. Modern poachers have evolved throughout this time, and they have used military tactics and equipment to kill large animals such as elephants, rhinos and gorillas. In addition, in the crossfire at the hands of bandits suffer rangers, there are also deaths. Seeing this shortcoming, the International Anti-Poaching Foundation (IAPF) set out in 2009 to fill the gap.

In the photos, which are published just below, there is a former Australian soldier who decided to proclaim a fight against the illegal extermination of rhinos. His name is Damian Mander, who uses modern military tactics to save rhinos from poachers in Zimbabwe.

Species such as elephant and rhinoceros are on the verge of extinction. And these animals are very difficult to protect, because poachers resort to the most extreme means to destroy them. If it becomes possible to preserve these animals, entire ecosystems will be protected.

Damian Mandra went to Africa and was saddened by the situation with the animals. The situation took him to his core, and on his return to Australia, he sold his house and the money he earned from the sale of his house, used to conduct a special operation to protect rhinos - he used his military experience to train the army, which was supposed to fight poachers in Zimbabwe.

Mandra supporters have used unmanned aerial vehicles, also called drones, to protect wildlife inhabitants. Their drones have the function of unmanned aircraft thermal and night vision, these technologies are used in military operations, in their case – to combat poaching, technology prevents the killing of animals by poachers.
