Tesla cars will be able to move 800 km without recharging

California manufacturer of electric cars Tesla Motors plans in the near future to bring to the market a car with a power reserve of more than 800 kilometers. This is almost 2 times more than the most “long-range” at the moment version of the Tesla Model S.

About the upcoming breakthrough in the technology of electric power reserve Elon Musk, head of Tesla Motors, made a statement. According to him, the electric car from Tesla, which can overcome on one charge of batteries more than 800 kilometers will be released “in the near future”. The representative of the company did not specify which model in this case we are talking about, but noted that for increased range will have to pay additionally.

It is not excluded that Tesla is preparing another version of the Model S machine, which can purchase innovative batteries. On the other hand, it is also likely that the company is referring to a more budget version, which they plan to release in the near future – Tesla Model III. It is already clear that it will be equipped with batteries that will allow you to travel about 320 kilometers, but, for example, buyers of Tesla Model S have a choice of batteries of various capacities. Accordingly, the manufacturer can do the same with the budget version of the car.

Among other things, Musk said that his company will be faithful to the idea of making electric cars and is not going to equip its models with hybrid installations. The head of Tesla Motors also expressed his bewilderment about the greater fascination with automated driving systems, as he believes that a person is better responsive to rapid changes in the situation on the road than computers. Tesla electric cars are unlikely to be equipped with autopilots in the near future.
