According to researchers at city University London, they found the key to a long life: man's waist should not be more than half his height.

As stated by co-author Margaret Ashwell, the evidence for this claim is so strong that a similar test should be the basis for a simple global health check. The expert gave an example: the average 30-year-old man, 5 feet 10 inches tall should have a waist less than 35 inches. If the abdominal circumference expands to 42 inches or 60% growth, you lose 1.7 years of his life. By increasing the waist to 56 inches, the man could die 20 years early.

The average 30-year-old woman, 5 feet 4 inches, will die 1.4 years early if her waist expand from half her height up to 60 percent of its growth, that is, up to 38.4 inches. And if the waist will grow even more, to 51 inches, she might die faster in 10.6 years.
