The squirrel looks similar to a small short-eared squirrel, but between the front and hind legs it has a wide skin fold, covered with hair — patagia, which plays the role of a parachute, and partly a bearing surface when jumping. The size of her small, slightly less than the average protein: the body length is 12-22,8 cm, tail 11 to 13 cm, feet — 3-3,9 cm, ear — 1,5-2,1 cm; weight до170 G.
