Euthanasia in Holland is out of control

According to the latest data, in the Netherlands per year has tripled the number of mentally ill people that were killed by euthanasia.

The Daily Mail reports that in 2012, 14 people with "severe psychiatric problems" were killed by lethal injection. In 2013 this figure increased to 42.

The total number of cases of euthanasia grew by 15% in the past year — from 4188 to 4829.

For 7 years the death rate from euthanasia has increased a total of 151%. Most cases associated with cancer patients. But also among them were 97 individuals with a diagnosis of dementia who were killed by the doctors.

These figures do not include "terminal sedation" when the patient is affected with sedatives, and then stop artificial hydration and nutrition. Taking into account these cases in Holland for eight of the deaths were a mercy killing.

Dr Peter Saunders of the Christian medical Community told the Daily Mail that euthanasia in the Netherlands "out of control", and it proves that it is impossible to regulate.

"In 2005, the House of lords calculated that with the adoption of a similar law in the UK was annually held at least 13,000 cases of euthanasia", — he added.

"Given the fact, as in the Netherlands increased mortality rate from euthanasia, the old calculations would be underestimated. What we see in the Netherlands, is the "step raspostranenija", sustainable intentional increase in the number of with the gradual expansion of the categories of patients who can benefit from euthanasia. The lessons are learned. As soon as we allow concessions in the law on euthanasia or suicide assistiveware, followed by a steady distribution, just as night follows day."

In the UK a bill to legalize euthanasia has passed second reading in the House of lords in July and will be considered until the next legislative stage in November.

Earlier this year, the Dutch legislator Theo Boer to the question about the bill, told the British Parliament: "don't do that".
