Each predefined to make the allotted number of breaths
Each predefined to make the allotted number of breaths
What yoga breathing exercises calm the nervous system, enrich body with oxygen, saturated with energy and promote a removal of waste substances, known everywhere. Any book on yoga for these issues.
But there is an aspect not seen in most guides.
Ancient texts claim that the life of each person is determined by karma, and is measured by the number of breaths. Otherwise, each of us are predestined to make a precise, allotted number of breaths.
Interesting theory, because the texts give the resultant recipe for longevity. If you learn yogic breathing, lengthen the inhale and exhale, to accomplish given the number of these breaths need much more time therefore you can "cheat" fate, karma... or rather, to circumvent the mechanism. If one half will lengthen the normal time of inhalation and exhalation, it is almost twice as lengthen your life.
It should be noted that theory is very close to the truth, even without any mysticism and the theory of karma.
Physiological processes in the body have their rhythm, their pace. Breathing is the only physiological process that exists as if in two modes. We breathe automatically, but can intervene in the process and consciously.
Consequently, the breath gives the chance to influence other rhythms, e.g. the rhythm of the heartbeat. It is proved that it slows, if slowing down the rhythm of breathing.
One word – calm, slow breathing of yoga performed regularly rebuilds the body processes slows them down. Aging occurs slowly, therefore we can say that there is a direct relationship between slow breathing and longevity. published
