"Wi-Power" remote charges any devices that are in range of the system
The KAIST team reported that they created the system "Wi-Power" safe for humans and has several advantages compared to traditional charging panels. Charging coil system can transfer energy to multiple devices simultaneously, and does not require precise orientation to the transmitter.
In other words, your phone can stay in your pocket and recharge all the time while you are close to charging. For my work Wi-Power uses the dipole coil resonant system which induces a magnetic field, "sending" energy to the conductive pad to the smartphone.
Wi-Power is based on more powerful technology developed by KAIST in 2014 for transmitting energy over long distances. During the tests the experimental setup of this system was able to convey 1403 watts of energy at a distance of three meters.
Transmitted power in this case decreases with distance, and at the distance of five meters is 209 watts. Peak power Wi-Power is 30 watts and gives you the ability to charge your smartphone at a distance of up to half a meter.
