Qualcomm introduced fast charging technology Quick Charge 3.0 – from 0 to 80% in 35 minutes

Qualcomm has introduced Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology, which will allow a fully discharged smartphone to charge up to 80% in just 35 minutes.

It was believed that Quick Charge technology is supported by two new platforms: Snapdragon 617 and 430. However, as it turned out, not only them. The previously introduced Snapdragon 820, 620 and 618 will also boast support for Quick Charge 3.0, although this is not indicated on the pages with their specifications.

According to the manufacturer, the new technology allows you to charge devices four times faster than using a conventional charger. Compared to the previous generation of technology, the speed increase is 38%. The standard does not require modification of existing connectors, device cables and is compatible with USB-C.

Thanks to the Intelligent Negotiation for Optimum Voltage (INOV) algorithm, the new technology can offer a range of operating voltages from 3.6 V to 20 V in increments of just 200 mV. It is compatible with previous versions of Quick Charge.

According to Qualcomm, a higher charge speed of smartphones should compensate for the insufficient amount of batteries for the modern user. published

P.S. And remember, just changing our consumption – together we change the world!
