General Motors recycles plastic bottles for Chevy Equinox Bashny.Net

Only in the USA sold each year more than 40 billion plastic bottles of water, eight out of 10 of them, eventually, end up at landfill or incinerated.

General Motors announced the initiative for the recycling of plastic bottles used by employees of the company, in companyhouse material for insulation, which covers the engine of Chevy Equinox in the composition with other materials.

 





 

All manufactured by General Motors process used in plastic bottles, and five of them are currently still involved in the project of "Do Your Part" (in the lane "do your bit"), which has partnered with 11 companies to give the bottles a second life.

 





 

Besides the production of insulation for a crossover, Chevy Equinox, these recycled bottles are used for components of air filtration in industries and for the production of sleeping bags for the homeless of Detroit, which is engaged in charitable organization the Empowerment Plan.

 





 

"Recycling is good, but considering waste as a valuable resource that can be used in the production of the material or end product is even better," said John Bradburn, regional Director of waste reduction for General Motors.
